The Chinese government’s response to the tariffs announced by Donald Trump is reciprocal. Starting February 10, the Asian country will apply a 15 % tax on US gas, oil and coal.

China will also apply taxes to other products, as well as to the agricultural sector. On the other hand, it announced an antitrust investigation against Google.

According to a statement from the Chinese Customs Commission, “a 15 % tariff will be imposed on imports of coal and liquefied natural gas. It will also impose a 10% tax on products such as crude oil, agricultural machinery, large-capacity cars and pickup trucks.”

Goods imported from the US will also be subject to a tariff. This is in addition to what the country’s Ministry of Commerce announced, regarding “the implementation of export controls on products related to tungsten, tellurium, bismuth, molybdenum and indium.”

Regarding Google, China announced a formal investigation for alleged violation of the national Antimonopoly Law.
