The Taiwan Financial Regulator would have issued a letter stating that it will soon seek to limit purchases of cryptocurrencies with credit cards.

The instruction establishes that both banks and companies may not use this payment method as a tool for the acquisition of digital assets.

In the letter, the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) reportedly warned of the risks associated with virtual assets and is giving credit card companies three months to comply with the new requirements.

It should be remembered that in June, Taiwan introduced a series of anti-money laundering regulations aimed at cryptocurrency exchanges.
