In this regard, while maintaining the usual level of service for customers, several shopping centers are implementing escalator shutdown schedules, particularly between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

They are also implementing one-way operation of these escalators; that is, going up or down, but only in one direction.

On the other hand, a complete shutdown of the electrical system is implemented for between 12 and 14 continuous hours, from closing time until opening the following day.

Elevator use is also restricted, as shopping centers are keeping a reduced number of elevators operational to achieve significant energy savings.

Some of the shopping centers that have announced this measure are: Santa Fe, San Ignacio, Centro Ciudad Comercial Tamanaco (CCCT), and Galerías Prados del Este.
