UK users of the Binance platform were informed about the suspension of cryptocurrency withdrawals in sterling.

This is not the first time this has happened, in June of this year cash payments through Faster Payouts had been stopped after a series of warnings by regulators.

In recent months, the cryptocurrency exchange has been losing deals with payment technology companies within the United Kingdom, as happened with Clear Junction and Barclays.

Binance has apparently been under pressure of late, with regulatory agencies in different jurisdictions going after the exchange giant. In addition to the UK, financial regulators in Japan, Poland and the Canadian province of Ontario have also targeted the company.

The company’s CEO, Changpeng Zhao, previously commented that “compliance is a journey,” in the wake of the growing regulatory storm facing the company.
