The Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, declared this Sunday that she will run as head of her Brothers of Italy party in the European Parliament elections.

This is an ambitious initiative, although if he were to win he would have to leave her position in Italy, as established by the laws of Parliament. In any case, his party would gain popularity.

Meloni noted, during a congress of his post-fascist party in the city of Pescara, on the shores of the Adriatic Sea: “We want to do in Europe exactly what we did in Italy on September 25, 2022: create a majority that unites the right-wing forces to finally send the opposition to the left.”

During her speech at this event, the Prime Minister of Italy highlighted the achievements in a year and a half of her mandate, “in the fight against irregular immigration and the protection of families and Christian values.”
