The Venezuelan Petroleum Chamber (CPV) has convened the forum “Venezuela Energy 2026: Integration and Competitiveness in the Global Market,” which will be held on April 27 at the Eurobuilding Hotel in Caracas. The event aims to promote the global integration of the sector.

The CPV is the main national association that brings together “goods and services companies in the hydrocarbon sector in Venezuela.” The event “emerges as a platform to connect the national value chain. In a context of new economic dynamics, the forum seeks to enhance the competitiveness of Venezuelan industry within the global energy market.”

More than 500 industry leaders are expected to attend this high-level meeting to identify investment opportunities. “It will be a hub for convergence between national authorities, leaders of operating companies, and local and international business leaders.”

The forum’s themes include:

• State Vision: The new energy model and its impact on the country’s development.
• Business Opportunities: Analysis of plans and projects for the coming years.
• Strategic Analysis: Context for industry development.
• National Content: Strategies to integrate the supply of local goods and services aligned with the demand of operating companies.

The 2025 Scientific Oncology Congress will be held on September 20 and 21 in Caracas, Venezuela, with the participation of national and international speakers in in-person and virtual formats through Oncoaliado’s social media channels.

Five national and nine international speakers will participate in this important free event, six of which will be in-person and three virtual.

For four years, the Oncoaliado Civil Association has promoted “a space for training and knowledge, exchange of experiences, case evaluations, and the exhibition of new advances in cancer treatments.”

In 2025, for the sixth consecutive year, the Venezuelan capital will host the “Scientific Congress of Oncology: 12th Cycle of Oncology Conferences, to be held on September 20 and 21, 2025, at the Eurobuilding Hotel.”

This scientific meeting, endorsed by the Faculty of Medicine of the Central University of Venezuela, the Venezuelan Society of Oncology, and the National Academy of Medicine, will bring together 14 prestigious oncology specialists.

The participants from Venezuela will be Drs. Andreína Fernández, Atilio Radomile, Carlos Sucre, and Javier Soteldo. Among the international speakers will be physicians Diego Cirac Guevara (Spain), José Pablo Garbanzo (Costa Rica), Nino Rainusso (USA), Guillermo Chantada (Argentina), Javier Briones (Spain), Alessandro Testori and Michele Maio (Italy), Juan Felipe Córdoba (Colombia), Omar Arias and Xavier Benoit D’Journo (France).

This two-day event will be open to “medical oncologists, radiologists, pediatricians, pharmaceutical representatives, as well as delegates from various chambers of commerce, private companies, health centers, and public and transnational institutions that have widely supported the initiative.”

Doctors will address key topics in different specialties

The program for the 12th Oncology Conference Series will address important topics such as: “Minimally invasive surgery for breast cancer, the malignant potential of benign liver tumors, treatment of bone tumors in pediatric cancer, treatment of extraocular retinoblastoma, immunotherapy and cell therapy for hematologic cancer, the surgical transition of the multidisciplinary approach to melanoma, tissue regeneration with stem cells, robot-assisted lung lobectomy, immunotherapy in solid tumors, artificial intelligence and its impact on oncology, among other interesting presentations on current practices in national and international healthcare centers.”

On the first day of the conference, September 20, the national and international conferences will be held in three blocks, with a Virtual Classroom in the auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine of the Central University of Venezuela, “where for the first time the participation of 100 postgraduate medical residents in subjects related to oncology will be implemented.”

On the second day, September 21, specialists will discuss five clinical cases and have a closer look at seven international speakers in a space called “Coffee with the Expert.” At least 70 physicians will be gathered at six panels to share their experiences with the invited speakers.

On September 16 and 17, the Business Leaders Summit will be held in Caracas, at the Eurobuilding Hotel, organized by Explosión Creativa under the motto “Venezuela del Futuro” to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

“The Explosión Creativa, a multi-platform event for good ideas, knowledge and business, has dedicated its career to promoting different projects in the areas of innovation, business development and entrepreneurship in Venezuela.”

Experts will meet at the event to give a series of conferences, business roundtables, as well as a “300-meter commercial exhibition in the pavilions of the tourism, agro-industry, automotive, retail, technology, health, banking, logistics, and other sectors.”

Leaders from the industrial, technological and banking sectors will gather in one place, with the participation of Colombia as a guest country thanks to the alliance between Pro Colombia and Explosión Creativa.

“Colombia’s participation has a special significance since the recently announced industrial economic zone will be promoted. It is an ideal opportunity for the private sector,” said Carlos Sánchez, CEO of the EXC Management Group by Explosión Creativa.

According to Juan Colmenares, Commercial Vice President, this year’s motto, “Venezuela of the Future” is a “bet on technological innovation as a potential for economic growth.”

Awards to Venezuelan businessmen

The Business Leaders Summit is focused on “businessmen, investors, merchants, managers, company executives, entrepreneurs and the public,” who will enjoy the presentation of the Venezuelan Business Oscars and the Explosión Creativa Awards on Monday 16, in a gala evening to “recognize the success stories and the visionaries committed to innovation in the country.”

This year, Creative Explosion began a national tour of the Business Leaders Summit that started from Margarita Island, continued through Caracas and then moved on to Barquisimeto and Lecherías. “They also plan to reach the cities of Valencia, San Cristóbal, Maracaibo and Puerto Or65daz in the second half of 2025.”

Investment promotion and recovery of the productive apparatus

Among the objectives of this initiative are the efforts to “promote the best scenario for doing business, promote and boost non-traditional exports; present opportunities for the private sector of the Special Economic Zones as an intelligent economic development plan; highlight the rise of entrepreneurship, success stories and opportunities to strengthen it, support the reactivation of the productive apparatus with the promotion of investments in Venezuela as an investment destination, present the companies that support the Country Brand and that raise the name of Venezuela; promote technology and innovation as transversal processes for economic development.”
