Google had announced changes to its streaming platform in the quest to expand its catalog of free channels. Now it confirms its relaunch with the name FreePlay.

In recent months, the technology company has added new channels. “These include TV classics like Family Feud and investigative shows like Cheaters,” as well as “movie channels, news, documentaries and more.”

Google TV was launched at the beginning of last year with a wide offering of 80 free channels. Then it went to 117 at the end of 2023 and in August 2024 it had 136 options. “Now that it has added 14 new ones, the total reaches 150 in September 2024.”

The novelty is the name change of FreePlay to position itself in the streaming market with its 150 free channels. This change, which began in early August, is now being extended to users of “Chromecast and Android TVs from brands like TCL and Hisense in the United States can now find this new name in the Live tab of their Google TV home screen ”.

At the same time, they have carried out interventions on the façade overlooking La Lagunita as a first step to the restructuring that will be carried out in 2022 with the incorporation of Bulevar Sucre, which will link Plaza Bolívar, Plaza Sucre and the Shopping Center to provide a better experience to visitors and repower the municipality as the favorite tourist destination for Caracas citizens.

For the Christmas season in Paseo El Hatillo, different activities stand out such as, “intercolegial de gaitas” with 18 participating schools, Christmas bazaar, mini chef station for the little ones, flash mob, Paseo fit, among others, for family enjoyment. Typical of the time there will also be the traditional Black Friday on November 26 accompanied by musical shows.
