Support for Windows 10 will officially end in October 2025, according to information from Microsoft. Security and vulnerability problems that have not been resolved until that date will remain unchanged.

According to the technology company, “a new update will only be released in case of urgent need, and this would only occur if a very serious vulnerability was found that had to be patched.”

Windows 10 users know that despite the end of support, they will be able to continue using the operating system, although over time it could give unpleasant surprises in terms of security. On the other hand, they are aware that “support of important applications will gradually be eliminates.”

Against this background, the 0patch platform has seen a business niche, after the success it has obtained by offering updates to Windows 7 to correct security problems. “The company will offer an extended support program for Windows 10 for a period of up to five years that, in theory, could be extended based on demand.”

It is important to clarify that their updates “act as micropatches, a type of solution that is applied directly to the processes in memory in a fast, safe way and with minimal consumption of time and resources. These types of patches do not even require a system restart, and can resolve very serious vulnerabilities in a matter of seconds.”
