<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the electoral body, voter turnout was<strong> 44 % of active voters</strong> (6,273,531), and of the <strong>335 positions up for election in the electoral process, the PSUV won 304, </strong>representing 90.74 % of the total.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The CNE announced the reelection of <strong>Carmen Meléndez of the PSUV as mayor of the Libertados Municipality of Caracas with 350,955 votes; Gustavo Duque of the Fuerza Vecinal</strong> party also won in <strong>Chacao</strong> with 16,243 votes; in<strong> Baruta, Darwin González</strong> of the Fuerza Vecinal party won 20,222 votes; <strong>Diógenes Lara won in the Sucre municipality</strong> (Spanish Socialist Workers&#8217; Party) with 75,200 votes, and in <strong>El Hatillo, Fernando Melena</strong> of the Movimiento Ecológico de Venezuela (Ecological Movement of Venezuela) won with 8,832 votes.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The <strong>CNE is expected to issue new bulletins this Monday</strong> confirming the information on the winners in the country&#8217;s various municipalities.</p>

Amoroso called on &#8220;voters who were selected to provide mandatory electoral service to visit <a href="https://ecap.cne.gob.ve/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">https://ecap.cne.gob.ve/</a> to complete the training and obtain accreditation as polling station members for the municipal elections.&#8221;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>This process, which began on June 27, will run until Saturday, July 26,</strong> the day before the elections. In this regard, the CNE has enabled the <strong>telephone line 0800-VOTEMOS (0800-8683667)</strong> so that those selected can obtain more information about the process.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Regarding the accreditation of witnesses,<strong> political organizations</strong> have been authorized by the CNE to <strong>submit their applications through the Automated Witness Accreditation System (SAT),</strong> &#8220;where they must begin registering their witnesses at each of the 20,410 voting stations that will be enabled for the municipal elections, <strong>Municipal Boards, Regional Boards, and the CNE.&#8221;</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Amoroso, the change of date was agreed “at the request of the various actors in the democratic life of the country.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In response, the regional and parliamentary elections were moved to practically a month after the date originally announced by the CNE. The official did not give details of the democratic actors who made the request, although it is known that they <strong>requested more time to organize this important electoral contest.</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The president of the CNE indicated that in these elections they will guarantee “the <strong>greatest reliability, transparency and the corresponding audits.”</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In the statement issued this Monday, by Amoroso, it is indicated that on the mentioned date “the <strong>elections of deputies to the National Assembly (AN), of the governors of the country and also of the legislators of the Legislative Councils will be held.”</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The elections scheduled for April 27 are part of the <strong>“fulfillment of our constitutional obligations</strong> and in accordance with <strong>article 42 of the Organic Law</strong> <strong>of electoral processes,”</strong> said Amoroso.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is important to remember that the CNE has been in <strong>permanent session</strong> since January 17 to establish the dates of other electoral processes scheduled for this 2025 and will progressively announce the details of each one.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to Amoroso, “the organization will hold the <strong>elections for governors and regional legislative councils,</strong> and <strong>municipal councils, and deputies of the National Assembly (unicameral parliament).”</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In addition, <strong>“six consultations on communal power projects are planned for this 2025</strong>, in which the communal circuits will nominate and vote for the <strong>community projects</strong> that will be financed through the Federal Government Council (CFG).”</p>
