According to information provided by Tree Card and Tree Seven, they have decided to support the various environmentally friendly campaigns by designing a new wooden debit card. The new product joins the catalog that Tree Seven offers in this raw material, such as clothing, footwear, tools, among others.

The material used by Tree Card is derived from sustainable wood and recycled plastic. Tree Card’s new partner Ecosia is actually a network of “local tree planting organizations. Ecosia has planted millions of trees (with more than 500 native species) in biodiversity hotspots in dozens of countries around the world.” “.

Different techniques are applied to planting trees, and the company’s work ranges from Burkina Faso to Brazil, passing through all of Europe.

Tree Card customers now have a new tool to make payments and transactions with digital currencies positioned in the market, such as BTC, ETH, DOGE, BNB, dash, TRX, among others.

Is has also indicated that the action of the bloc in this field “will not be fully effective” if it is not accompanied by “complementary measures” to alleviate the social and environmental costs of the ecological transition.

The auditors point out, in a report published on Monday, September 20, that the EU’s path to climate neutrality “will require significant public and private investment”, calling on the bloc to adopt “more systematic measures” to to get it.

“Unsustainable activities are still too profitable. The Commission has done a great deal to show this lack of sustainability transparently, but a solution to this underlying problem has yet to be found,” said Eva Lindström, Member of the European Court of Auditors responsible of the report.

Thus, the European auditors affirm that the Community Executive “must apply coherent criteria” to establish the sustainability of investments that use European funds and “better guide efforts to generate sustainable investment opportunities.”

For this reason, they are emphatic in highlighting the importance of completing the common system of classification of sustainable activities and recommend “other additional measures to ensure that the prices of greenhouse gas emissions better reflect their environmental costs.”

On the other hand, the report of the European Court of Auditors underlines that the EU budget has not been fully subject to good practice in finance and lacks coherent and scientifically based criteria to avoid significant damage to the environment.” This fact “creates the risk of being able to apply inconsistent or insufficiently rigorous criteria to determine the environmental and social sustainability of the same activities financed by different EU programs“, including the recovery fund.

According to the list, the Minister of Transportation met only once with representatives of environmental organizations, during a parliamentary meeting of the “National Future Mobility Platform” (PNM) at the end of January 2020.
For her part, a spokeswoman for the Transport Ministry stated that Scheuer was in constant contact with representatives of a wide range of interests. In addition to the auto industry, it included rail companies, public transport companies and associations, the rail industry association, representatives of the cycling lobby and air and maritime transport.

The spokesperson pointed out that the main objective of the conversations with the automotive industry and, above all, with its suppliers, is to accompany the transformation of the industry in the development of propulsion technologies that respect the climate.
