In an exciting announcement, The Walt Disney Company revealed its collaboration with Dapper Labs to launch its own digital collectibles marketplace, leveraging non-fungible token (NFT) technology.

Under this innovative partnership, Disney will transform its iconic cartoon characters, both classic and contemporary, into NFTs. This will allow passionate fans to collect and preserve these digital gems in the Web3 ecosystem, according to various media outlets.

The initiative will also encompass iconic franchises currently under Disney ownership, such as Star Wars, Pixar productions, the beloved princesses and their captivating stories, as well as other fascinating universes.

The long-awaited launch of this new platform will be called “Disney Pinnacle” and is expected to be available at the end of the year in stores such as the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for Android devices, in addition to having a version compatible with web browsers.

Currently, enthusiasts can join the waitlist on the official page, while the NFTs will work through the Flow Blockchain network, owned by the Dapper Labs team.
