The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expected to establish a permanent office in Caracas, Venezuela, during the first half of 2027, according to its Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva-

The official stated this Tuesday that they are quickly catching up to deepen relations with the country.

Georgieva’s statements come during the visit to the United States by interim president Delcy Rodríguez, with whom she held a strategic meeting on Monday, September 21, to participate in the UN meeting.

The IMF director stated: “We are now ensuring we quickly catch up on key monetary and fiscal data and policies.”
