The Nexo cryptocurrency exchange platform established an alliance with the card issuer Mastercard for the launch of a credit and debit card.

It is a dual card that will allow payment for purchases and debit and credit transactions. Customers in Europe and the United Kingdom, markets where the instrument will be available at the moment, will be able to “carry out their day-to-day financial operations with the card, using the debit mode for daily transactions, and the credit mode for purchases involving large amounts of capital.”

Some 100 million businesses that operate through the Mastercard network are authorized in these European regions to accept the Nexo card.

The platform has indicated that with this launch, in partnership with Mastercard, it seeks to facilitate transactions for users in their daily lives, without having to change the payment instrument and from the same interface.

According to the exchange: “In addition to the double functionality, the company indicated that users can accumulate 9 % annual interest on their crypto holdings, which will be paid directly in debit mode to reward them. As for the credit mode, each operation made with the card will generate a 2 % refund.

Customers in Europe and the United Kingdom must apply for the card through the website of the platform or the application. The new payment instrument is available in both a physical and digital version.
