Since this Tuesday, September 27, Argentines have a new method of payment with cryptocurrencies. The Bitso exchange activated the QR code payment system to facilitate transactions in the South American country.

Bitso issued a statement announcing the news, which enables payments in Argentina, with cryptocurrencies, using a QR code. Citizens who manage digital assets will be able to make payments with a balance in Argentine pesos, the local currency, and also in digital dollars, bitcoin, ether, DAI, among others.

Bitso offers in Argentina payment with cryptocurrencies through QR from the platform app. It will be beneficial for the more than 1 million users in the country. They only have to select the currency they will use to cancel their consumption.

The novelty makes Argentina the first nation where the Bitso exchange offers this modality. It is not surprising, since it is the country in Latin America where the payment with cryptos has spread rapidly. It is estimated that 59 % of Argentines have used the QR code payment methodology in other scenarios this year. Likewise, 89 % are willing to use it in the next year.
