The population have noted that the direction of the new king’s face on the coins is opposite that of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who was oriented to the right. It had been preconceived that way, well in advance.

According to the Mint, the changes will only be in the coins, for the time being. The tickets will continue to be the same ones used until now. This does not imply any change for the country’s economy, nor for the citizens and their transactions in daily life.

The Royal Mint revealed that the coins were designed “by sculptor Martin Jennings. Following a tradition whereby the orientation of the coins is reversed for successive monarchs.”

That is why the face of Charles III was coined looking to the left. Another aspect that differentiates the coins with the face of Isabel II is the absence of the crown, following the tradition that has been maintained since Charles II.

The coins of both monarchs will continue to circulate until those with the face of Carlos’s mother are completely withdrawn. About the banknotes, they are scheduled to be launched on the national stage in 2024, despite the fact that their presentation will be this year.

Elizabeth II was the Queen for 70 years, during which her face was the characteristic icon n bills. They will change to show the face of the King and then older and new bills will circulate for a certain period, until the previous ones are totally collected.

In the case of mailboxes, the letter ER –for Elizabeth Regina– should pass to HM, for His Majesty, to honor Charles III. The uniforms of police department, which keep the inscription of Her Majesty, will also change to His Majesty.

The changes that would overcome with the death of the Queen Elizabeth II were previewed some time ago. In the UK Royal Mint are already the new bills with the face of successor, King Charles III. Once the mourning is finished, the Royal House will inform when the changes concerning the national hymn and other fiscal items will come into force.

According to the information provided, the exchange will be depositing an initial amount in the addresses of its clients, although it emphasizes that the delivery is not exclusive to current clients. They also estimate to have a significant influx of new customers in the first weeks of this year 2022.

The supply of the new cryptocurrency will be restricted to 450 million coins that are planned to be launched in 5 years, according to the following distribution: “20% will be for employees of the firm, while 25% will be reserved for the commitment to long term of the company with the token and the ecosystem. The rest will go to users as a reward”. BitMEX pointed out.

It is important to note that the crypto asset does not yet have an established listing price, waiting to be determined by the market at the time of its launch. In addition, users will not be able to trade their tokens until the cash sale begins.

BitMEX is not the first exchange in South America to launch its own cryptocurrency, it was previously carried out by the company RipioCoin, which gave 2,000 tokens to each of its users and offered the same through its platform.

Jamaica is making strong progress with a digital version of the Jamaican dollar, minting the nation’s first batch of CBDCs. According to the announcement: the Bank plans to issue a total of 230 million JMD, equivalent to 1.47 million dollars, in the form of CBDC for those institutions that accept deposits and authorized payment service providers as part of a digital currency pilot program ending in December.

Finance Minister Nigel Clarke noted that the country’s legislative representatives are “working on a legislative amendment to provide a legal basis for Jamaica’s CBDC by the end of 2021“, further acknowledging the speed with which the project has been developed. of digital currency in the country.

For his part, Richard Byles, BOJ governor, explained that CBDC’s next step will be to “guarantee widespread access and acceptance by bringing CBDC to users“, for which they plan to apply strategies that allow it to obtain different benefits between which highlight easier access means for efficient and secure payments.

All this process of digitizing the currency in the country will allow the BOJ and the other institutions responsible for accepting deposits an opportunity “to improve the processes and costs of cash management.”

The development schedule of the project on the creation and implementation of digital currency in the country is progressing adequately. The CBDC has the responsibility to “complete the Jamaican banknotes, which allows financial institutions to issue the currency to individual and commercial account holders with each digital token linked to the JMD in a 1: 1 ratio.”
