The coffee sector is currently thriving and maintaining positive growth, as highlighted recently by Acting President Delcy Rodríguez, who indicated that production reached 4 million quintals in the 2025-2026 period.

Of this production, 1.8 million quintals were allocated to supply domestic consumption, and 2.1 million quintals were destined for export.

In a message posted on his Instagram account on the occasion of the first community coffee meeting, held in Ospino, Portuguesa state, Rodríguez stated: “Coffee is one of the most important sectors, and the community economy already has the entire circuit organized.”

At the event, the Minister for Communes, Ángel Prado, highlighted the productive capacities of the organized community, “which currently contributes nearly 30 % of the national coffee production.” He emphasized that the conditions are in place to “deliver finished product to the national market, but also to export worldwide.”

According to estimates revealed by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, coffee production in the country expanded from 0 to 250,000 hectares by 2025.

The goal, Maduro indicated, is to continue growing, and he emphasized that currently “more than 60,000 coffee-growing families are organized nationwide in 20 states, which guarantees the consolidation of a solid production network with the capacity to supply both the domestic and international markets.”

Data from the 2024-2025 harvest indicates a yield of 3,027,724 quintals. “Each quintal contains 46 kilos. This year’s harvest has increased by 55 %, and we are predicting 4,701,550 quintals, which is equivalent to more than 216 million kilos,” said Maduro.

Currently, there are 438 coffee brands in the South American country, a great achievement thanks to the efforts of coffee growers and local producers.

According to Maduro, the nation has 210 million kilos to complete the cycle of perfect adaptation, and he defined the scenario as “the equation of producing everything in Venezuela, supplying the entire national market, and increasingly exporting quality Venezuelan products to the world.”
