The authorities did not refer to a ban but rather to controlling the excessive use of social media by minors, through cell phones and computers, considering that “it can have implications for the rest of their lives. And if it affects all children and all adolescents, then it has general implications for the development of the country.”

According to Sheinbaum, nearly 70 % of parents “agree that cell phone use should be regulated in schools.” In this regard, education authorities, along with other specialists, will discuss scientific evidence on the use of technology and its effect on minors.

For his part, Mexico’s Secretary of Education, Mario Delgado, explained that “the discussion cannot be limited to schools, since a significant portion of the time children spend in front of screens occurs at home.”

Regarding the risks of the use of social media, video games, and online gambling, specialists have pointed out that excessive exposure in children generates a “much greater release of dopamine, but that in the long run, it causes the brain to reduce its production and decrease the sensitivity of receptors, which means that normal activities cease to be satisfying.”

Criminals are now using more sophisticated techniques to steal users’ data. DroidBot is “integrated with more than 70 banking applications, cryptocurrency exchange services and related entities for the Android operating system and downloaded in Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Portugal.”

Specialists indicate that DroidBot is a “sophisticated remote access trojan (RAT) that combines Virtual Network Computing (VNC) remote screen sharing with functions usually associated with spyware.”

The criminals hide the virus as a generic security application, Google services or popular banking applications.

The warning about this trojan was released last October, indicating that once installed it has the ability to “intercept incoming SMS messages from financial institutions, such as when they send transaction authentication numbers, and user interactions with the screen.”

The warning indicates that although cybercriminals have focused on users in Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Portugal, the attack could be extended to regions in Latin America through the virus hidden in “more than 77 banking applications, cryptocurrency exchanges, government entities and other related national organizations.”

Hackers are known to take advantage of any vulnerability in the security of phones, computers and other electronic devices to break in, install malware and obtain the user’s personal data.

Experts from companies such as ESET, Kaspersky, or FBI cybersecurity personnel (United States) have spoken sufficiently about the need to protect the data regarding username and password, bank account number or cryptocurrency wallet, residence address, among others. others. This, in view of the fact that cyberattackers are increasingly using more sophisticated methods to enter devices and steal this data.

In this sense, connecting to a public electricity outlet can represent one of the easiest ways for hackers to access private information.

Users may be victims of viruses, fraud, extortion, calls from suspicious sources or corporate identity usurpers, cyber espionage, among others.

To protect yourself, the first thing to do is to avoid connecting in public places to charge the battery of cell phones, tablets, computers, and other devices. Also, update the antivirus from an official source. In the case of cell phones with the Android system, it is possible to install Google Play Protect, from Google. In the case of Apple devices, they have Norton 360, McAffe and Avira.

In a first phase, mobile payment can only be made through Bancamiga Suite, an application that allows you to mobilize money quickly and safely.

With this development, Bancamiga meets the needs of Venezuelans by further facilitating their financial transactions. All accounts in both dollars and bolivars will be available to use the service, explains the information.

“When entering Bancamiga Suite, customers must select the paying account, make an Online Sale of the currencies and follow each of the steps to complete the transaction. The entire process is carried out automatically and in seconds,” comment Bancamiga spokespersons.

The service will allow canceling both natural and legal persons. It is not available for the euro account and the minimum amount will be from $ 10 for payments issued from the dollar accounts.

If you have not downloaded and therefore do not have Bancamiga Suite, you can do so by entering the Play Store or APP Store on your cell phone. The statement highlights that once the application has been used, that is, every time it is used, it is essential to close the session to guarantee the security of its financial products.
