During the parliamentary and regional elections in Venezuela this Sunday, May 25, the government party won the majority of seats. The Vice President of the National Electoral Council announced that the ruling party won 40 of the 50 seats in Parliament.

Opposition candidates Henrique Capriles, Stalin González, and Luis Emilio Rondón each won a seat in the National Assembly.

According to official figures released by Quintero around midnight this Sunday, corresponding to 93.01 % of the polling stations and a turnout of 42.63 %, the Great Patriotic Pole obtained 4,553,484 votes (82.68 % of the total).

The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Amoroso, congratulated the Venezuelan people for the civility demonstrated during such an important electoral process in the country.
