In a call for calm, the president of Fedecámaras, Felipe Capozzolo, stated that Venezuela is capable of guaranteeing the supply of basic goods to the population, following the two earthquakes of June 24.

The business leader spoke out to call for calm amidst the population’s fear regarding the scarcity of food and basic necessities in the most affected regions.

According to Capozzolo, “the national production system has the necessary resources to address the emergency. Citizens should not engage in panic buying, as companies are maintaining operations to ensure the continuous flow of essential goods throughout the country.”

Capozzolo indicated that Venezuela has the capacity to meet the current demand for agricultural products, personal care items, and medicines.
