Plasencia and Vieira talked about Brazil’s humanitarian assistance to Venezuela following the earthquakes of June 24, as well as the possible visit of the Brazilian Foreign Minister in the coming months.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister indicated that “the proposal for a future visit was received positively by Vieira, with the objective of designing a bilateral roadmap to deepen cooperation between the two countries, which share a border of more than 2,000 kilometers.”

Both foreign ministers agreed on “the importance of exchanging experiences in the training of diplomatic officials.”

The FTA between both nations, one called the Asian giant, and the other the “Little Thumb of the Americas”, seeks to reduce costs in areas such as vehicle imports, in addition to reducing dependence on this market on the United States.

Likewise, a China-El Salvador trade pact will open a route for Salvadoran products to the Asian country, “especially items such as coffee, sugar and aluminum waste, which local businesses and producers have considered very positive.”

For his part, Wang declared that despite the geographical separation between both nations, they are united by a deep tradition of cooperation and friendly exchanges, since the first immigrants from China arrived in Jamaica 170 years ago.

Bilateral cooperation has yielded fruitful results, “bringing tangible benefits to both peoples,” said Wang, who highlighted his country’s willingness to continue supporting Jamaica “in accelerating development and national revitalization, to write a new chapter.” of the friendship between China and Jamaica and achieve new achievements in mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.”
