<p style="text-align: justify;">Other countries from which remittances were received are <strong>Chile and the United Kingdom, with 5.9 % and 2.4 %,</strong> respectively, of the total.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The sending of money from Colombians abroad to their families in the South American country showed an <strong>increase of 9.67 %</strong> compared to the year <strong>2021,</strong> when the figure was <strong>USD 8,597 million.</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the <strong>Banco de la República</strong> report, <strong>November 2022</strong> was the period during which the largest remittances were sent to Colombia, reaching USD 894 million. At the end of December, the amount was <strong>USD 848 million.</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The <strong>transactions</strong> reached at the end of 2022 show <strong>growth</strong> in this sector, which has led the <strong>Government of Colombia</strong> to establish <strong>mechanisms that facilitate the sending of remittances</strong> from Colombians abroad to their relatives in the territory.</p>
