The government of Aruba announced this Sunday, April 21, the extension of the ban on flights to and from Venezuela for three more months.

In a statement, the aeronautical authorities of the Caribbean island announced the prohibition measure that will be, for the moment, until July 20. The information is published on the Defense Internet Notam Service web.

According to the report from the island’s Tourism Authority, the island “received a total of 141,380 visitors during the first quarter of 2024, of which 83.9 % come from North America, 9.9 % from South America, 4.1 % from Europe and 2.6 % from other countries.”

With this measure, the air border between Aruba and Venezuela remains closed until July 20; although the maritime border was reopened in May 2023.
