Microsoft continues to work on solving the vulnerabilities that have recently affected the operating system for Microsoft Exchange Server servers. The company has ensured that 92 % of the vulnerable IP addresses have already been updated, although it has warned about the different types of threats.

After discovering four vulnerabilities in Microsoft Exchange, affecting the 2016 and 2019 versions in particular, the company has released several update patches.

Among its latest efforts, last week the American company launched a new tool that solves problems with a single click, aimed at companies without an IT department, as well as the incorporation of these mechanisms in Windows’ standard antivirus, Microsoft Defender.

These solutions are spreading more and more and currently 92% of IP addresses considered vulnerable have already solved the problem, as reported by Microsoft in a statement.

Exchange security flaws, exploited by cybercriminals such as the Chinese Hafnium hackers, have been used to carry out different types of attacks, among which Microsoft has highlighted cryptocurrency miners and ransomware.
