In the statement published on the social network X, Biden points out that his withdrawal from the presidential election is what is best for his party and the nation. He thanked everyone who has worked alongside him, while noting that it has been an honor to serve them as their President.

In his letter, Biden gave his support to the current Vice President, Kamala Harris, although other candidates could emerge in the process.
