In an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and passion for Venezuelan baseball, the Estadio Monumental Simón Bolívar hosted the seventh edition of the Bancamiga Cup. Tiburones de La Guaira emerged victorious after defeating Leones del Caracas 9-4, securing their third consecutive win in this event.

The coastal team received the award from Tsunaimy Peña, an executive at the Maiquetía branch, representing the financial institution, while coach Ángel Bravo accepted it on behalf of the team.

Recognition of Maiquetía’s resilience

During this event, Bancamiga paid special tribute to the staff of the Maiquetía branch, which was affected by the double earthquake that occurred on June 24. The institution’s CEO, Ariel Martínez, extended heartfelt words to the entire branch team for their dedication and commitment during these months, highlighting especially their resilience.

The initial launch was led by Loimer Arias, manager of the aforementioned office, who expressed his deep gratitude for the trust placed in his team: “At the Maiquetía agency, we are incredibly proud to promote and be part of this rebirth and new awakening of La Guaira, always supporting the growth of our people.”

Brand activation and fan experience

The festivities began hours before the game. Attendees enjoyed various activities designed to enrich the stadium experience, featuring a DJ, live music, karaoke, and the distribution of promotional items and fans. Additionally, the National Anthem was performed by the AH Sinfónico orchestra, under the direction of Aníbal Hamilton.

Simultaneously, the Bancamiga Móvil mobile unit was deployed at the stadium to open accounts for new users and manage the distribution of the new Leones del Caracas Debit Card, a product designed especially for Caracas fans with exclusive benefits and features.

The interaction continued throughout the innings: during the third-inning break, the traditional toss of jerseys into the stands took place, and in the fifth inning, the brand took the field to formally present the advantages of the themed card.

With this initiative, Bancamiga reaffirms its commitment to promoting national sports and healthy recreation, supporting disciplines that foster teamwork and assisting communities and workers who contribute to the well-being of the country.
