The next Bitcoin halving is planned for 2028, considering that this procedure, where the rate of issuance is adjusted and miners’ rewards are halved, occurs every four years.

This mechanism was defined this way from the protocol’s inception and “sets the pulse of the available supply and is closely followed by investors, developers, and analysts in the ecosystem.”

The previous halving took place on April 20, 2024, when “the reward dropped from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC per block.” In the process, “the only constant is the threshold: when the network reaches another 210,000 blocks, the halving will be executed automatically.”

Previous halving dates were:

• 2012: 50 BTC to 25 BTC
• 2016: 25 BTC to 12.5 BTC
• 2020: 12.5 BTC to 6.25 BTC
• 2024: 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC

The halving is an important process that directly impacts three areas: supply, mining, and market behavior. In 2028, when the next halving occurs, “the reward will be reduced again, and the rate of new BTC creation will be even lower. With each cycle, Bitcoin approaches its maximum limit of 21 million units, reinforcing its deflationary design and the rigidity of its supply.”

For his part, the businessman, author and expert trader Robert Kiyosaki, has launched his prediction, placing the value of bitcoin at $250,000 next year, but not before indicating: “We have to try to forget what bitcoin was initially and promote it for what it has the potential to become.”

Kiyosaki sees bitcoin as an important resource to “combat the devaluation of fiat currency and navigate the turbulent seas of global economic uncertainty.”

His concern about the weakness of the dollar and financial instability around the world underpins his recommendation to invest in gold or silver and cryptocurrencies.

In a forum held by the Venezuelan Finance Observatory, with the participation of specialists and academics, the economic scenario for the country in 2025 was analyzed, with projections of a scenario marked by inflation and the exchange rate.

The specialists “agreed that 2025 will be a complicated year for Venezuela in economic matters with very modest growth and a rise in the exchange rate and inflation that will again impact the purchasing power of citizens.”

The president of the Academy of Economic and Social Sciences, Dr. Leonardo Vera, and the director of the School of Economics at the University of Carabobo, Ana Isabel Belmonte, presented the scenarios that Venezuela could face next year.

They stressed that 2025 will be complicated for Venezuela. The last quarter of 2024 “presents a difficult situation, on the one hand there is the political climate and on the other hand the breakdown of the exchange rate anchor regime, which apparently they are modifying for another type of exchange rate policy,” according to Vera.

Belmonte argued that “the policies to control inflation in recent years have sacrificed national economic growth, and this slowdown in the last quarter of 2024 is a negative consequence of this scheme.”

Added to all this is the issue of the parity of the official and parallel exchange rates as well as the downward trend in the price of oil.

Both Leonardo Vera and Ana Isabel Belmonte see 2025 with slow economic growth, or very limited, and an increase in inflation above 60 %.

Apple is currently working on the development of a new iPhone model with a flexible eight-inch screen that would hit the market in 2023, according to the analyst specializing in Apple Ming-Chi Kuo.

The first iPhone with a folding screen will have an 8-inch panel with QHD + resolution that can be folded thanks to the use of a flexible OLED glass material, as Kuo sources and MacRumors say.

The flexible panel will be manufactured by Samsung Display (SDC), the South Korean unit specialized in displays, and Samsung will also be responsible for providing the screen drivers.

Likewise, it is expected that the terminal will make use of the technology of silver nanowires under the screen, which will be carried out by TPK and which will allow touch control using not only one but several hinge.

The device is expected to hit the market in 2023 and a total of 15-20 million units of the first foldable iPhone model will be produced.
