The announcement was made after the official opening of the air and sea border between Venezuela and Curaçao, in what represents the first stage of reconnection between both nations.

The president of the Association of Airlines of Venezuela, Humberto Figuera, affirmed that this destination, together with Aruba and Bonaire, competed directly with the island of Margarita.

Figuera highlighted the importance of the ABC Islands as a connection destination with Europe and other regions, despite the recent measure by the government of the Netherlands to request a visa for Venezuelan tourists traveling to the islands.

Other Venezuelan airlines, among which Laser and Albatros stand out, are in the process of preparing to carry out the first flights, for which they are waiting for authorization from INAC to start operations.

Figuera highlighted the importance of Aruba as a destination for Venezuela, since there is the possibility of migrating to the United States directly from the island.

“When you enter Aruba, this destination already counts for the immigration process, so entering the US is already considered a domestic flight,” stressed the president of the Association of Airlines.
