The Luis Aparicio de Maracaibo stadium was the scene of the closure of activities for the 2023 regional minor baseball season, in which 112 children played the Bancamiga-Simpletv Mini Cup this Friday and Saturday.

Under the guidance of the Águilas del Zulia Academy and with the participation of eight minor baseball organizations from this state, the event brought together the Alejandro Borges, JD, Silvino Bracho and Águilas del Zulia schools in the Pitoco category (7 and 8 years old) and Alejandro Borges, Team Lossadeño, Mumú Barboza and Águilas del Zulia in the Children’s category (11 and 12 years old).

Bancamiga supports values ​​such as discipline, honesty and responsibility

The executive president of Bancamiga Banco Universal, Ariel José Martínez, said that it is a pleasure for the financial institution to support an initiative that unites two sectors that are essential for the country’s progress, such as sports and education, especially because they involve values ​​such as discipline, honesty and responsibility.

As part of the support at the end of the season, Bancamiga and Simpletv delivered sports equipment to the participating teams, seven of which are from Maracaibo and Team Lossadeño from the Jesús Enrique Lossada municipality.

“At Simpletv we seek to support the sports promises of the future. We are moved by a passion for sports, and we are proud to support those who in a few years will star in the games that excite us as Venezuelans. We are pleased to be part of this Mini Cup, in alliance with Bancamiga”, expressed Katherina Di Battista, general manager of Simpletv.

The end of the season left the Águilas as champions in both categories by beating JD and Team Lossadeño.

The general manager of the Águilas del Zulia Foundation, Vinicio Almarza, indicated that “the excitement of the children when they paraded was contagious. Knowing that they are marching as their team’s team at the Luis Aparicio stadium, at the end point of a tournament that began in February, is something unforgettable for the children, their parents and relatives who fill the stadium”.

The Academy is 16 years old and beginning baseball players and others who already have some experience participate.

“We work under an integration format, children with special abilities also participate. We monitor the behavior of the children. We are attentive to their grades and under the program called Valores we unite children and parents in an educational process. A percentage of the children receive scholarships,” explained Almarza.

During the two days, the financial institution implemented an operation in the Luis Aparicio stadium, in which it opened accounts in bolivars and in foreign currency, handed out the Mastercard Debit Card and the Kids card to minors, while clarifying to the attendees any concerns about its innovative products and services.

For Bancamiga and Simpletv, it is important to support a tournament in which 112 children demonstrate what they have learned during the season and serve as an example to others so that they join in the enthusiastic practice of a sport that is a national pastime and that has historically elevated the name of Venezuela.
