Instagram, aware of the importance of music for its users, brings a new function that allows them to add a song of their choice to their profile.

The option is available via a player icon located below the profile bio on both iOS and Android.

To activate the function, you just have to press the Edit button below the biography. The action will display the screen that will allow you to write personal data to complete the biography.

This is where the Music section will appear. If the option does not appear, it is because it will be activated in stages.

But if the Music option does appear on your device, it will then direct you to the section to search and choose the preferred song to add to the profile.

Before setting said song, it can be played to verify that it is indeed the melody that you want to pin to the profile.

From Instagram, they have clarified: “When you click on the song, you can also choose the fragment you want to play on your profile. You will do it in the same way as in the stories, with a selector in which you can choose and listen to specific parts of the song with a maximum duration of 30 seconds.”
