Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced the delivery of a ton of gold bars to the Central Bank to strengthen reserves.

Maduro stated: “Venezuela is already producing, following the most rigorous international standards, gold bars for its national and international reserves, with the goal of boosting its development using its own gold.”

During this announcement, the president invited investors and artisans who use gold in their works to “promote gold mining under rigorous ecological standards.”
