According to authorities, the low birth rate calls for the establishment of mechanisms to provide security for citizens.

The government made the announcement on Monday the 28th, referring to the strategy as a way to address the low birth rate, although it indicated that there will be conditions. “This is an important national measure aimed at improving the well-being of the population,” the media reported.

As a reference point for birth rates, it was learned that in 2024, “only 9.54 million births were recorded in China, half of what it was in 2016.” The Asian country’s population decline was projected to reach 1.39 million in 2024, “and in 2023, China will lose its status as the world’s most populous country to India.”
