Google would have paid misleading advertising prior to the launch of its Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL in 2019. For this, it now faces a fine of USD 8,000 in the state of Texas.

The Attorney General of said state has concluded that Google paid broadcasters at that time to carry out promotions for the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL and recounting their experience, but without having tested the products.

According to the authority, this translates into misleading advertising, which the Attorney General has defined as “blatantly false.”

In the legal case, according to a Google spokesperson, the company has assumed the blame and has decided to pay the fine.

Google committed a crime by promoting, without proof, the benefits of its products. Clearly, it has been determined that he lied for hefty financial gain at the time.
