Entel and Almendral shares rise more than 7 points

The telecommunications companies Entel and Almendral rise more than 7 points in the Santiago stock market, occupying the first and second place respectively

The shares of the telecommunications company Entel began the day on the Santiago de Chile stock exchange with a rise of 7.09 %, becoming the highest indicator recorded since last February 28. While the controlling holding company Almendral registered an increase of 7.90 % to place the share value at 22 dollars.

With the increase registered by Entel, its shares stood at 2,945 dollars to become the second company with the highest profit and the first place is occupied by the Almendral company in the Chilean stock market.

The increases in the value of the shares of the telecommunications operators occur simultaneously with the search to “dispose of part of its infrastructure assets such as its five data centers for 800 million dollars, while putting its fiber network up for sale. optics estimated at about 500 million dollars”.

Increase of client portfolio of Entel and Almendral

On the other hand, the companies also reported significant growth in the database of their users, increasing by 66 % in the client portfolio, closing by December 2021 with “about 539 thousand services”, coupled with the “wide progress in the implementation of 5G in Chile”.

According to the market specialist José Tomás Riveros, it is excellent news that the company “occupies that capital in the core of its business” because it will provide growth and it will be able to improve the services it offers.

In addition, Riveros explained that all this context that the firm is playing makes it a “very interesting company in terms of growth in the medium and long term.”

It is important to note that during the year, Entel accumulated a positive variation of around 5.97 % and a market capitalization of around 921.454 million dollars. While Almendral had a capitalization of 396.747 million dollars with a variation of 5.36 %.
