Rumors that eBay will enter cryptography are growing and have been used as evidence that the e-commerce giant will finally accept payments in digital currencies, sooner than expected.
In case the rumors end up being true it would be great news for the general adoption of the ecosystem because eBay is one of the largest digital markets in the world, since it has 180 million active buyers from all over the globe.
It is worth emphasizing that the speculations are just that, because they are not confirmed and everything points to the firm will accept mainly not bitcoin as many might suspect, but the native token of the world’s largest exchange, Binance coin (BNB).
Other users point out that the cryptographic payment platform that will be used will be Utrust, allegedly by the former PayPal and eBay executive, Sanja Kon. Utrust is cataloged as the first payment solution with cryptocurrencies worldwide, which offer instant transactions, buyer protection and digital currencies to pay debts.
Obviously it is not difficult to imagine that one of the first associations that Sanja Kon would try to create was with the company in which she was a senior executive for more than 5 years.
