Eatbch non-profit organization celebrates first year of life

The Venezuelan entity based on charity operations with bitcoin cash extended last year to South Sudan

The Venezuelan non-profit organization Eatbch celebrates a year of action in favor of the most needy communities both in Venezuela and in South Sudan, where it has extended its work.

Eatbch works with funding from the Bitcoin Cash Association. Since its launch, this peer-to-peer cash-for-food system is moving forward amid the hyperinflation currently plaguing Venezuela, providing the most needy with a hot meal.

The organization began its functions with a donation from two people for only five dollars. At that moment, from that small amount the founders of Eatbch delivered 40 arepas (typical food in Venezuela made with refined corn flour). Of course, there they noticed the great potential of the initiative.

From the organization they indicated: “The bitcoin price has a wide exchange support in the cryptocurrency quote, and it is also easy to use, so we could convince the merchants to accept BCH”.

In the summer of 2018 its action extended to a country with serious economic problems and a high rate of inflation. So they came to South Sudan to help their population.

Upon reaching their first year, Eatbch said they are grateful for the acceptance they have had from the community, as well as for the help of the volunteers who have supported them.
