Dubai studies to create its own court for blockchain cases

It is an initiative with the government company Smart Dubai to create a workforce based on this technology

Dubai could become the first country to create a blockchain court to deal specifically with cases related to the misapplication of this technology, smart contracts and other aspects of the local judicial system.

To boost the legal applications of blockchain, the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) announced this Monday July 30 its alliance with the company Smart Dubai.

One of the objectives of this court will be to optimize the processes of the current legal system, avoid duplication of processes and eliminate the work done manually.

In the medium term, they hope that with the implementation of this initiative the institutions can verify and share information in real time for a better application of the law in Dubai.

The country wants to establish a record of all government transactions by 2020, to deal with disputes in public and private blockchain, making the most of decentralized technology.
