Disney wins the battle and gains full control of Hulu
The corporation, that already owns Marvel and Fox, agreed with Comcast to take control of the streaming platform that will be a strong competitor of Netflix
This week it was confirmed that the Disney corporation will take full control of the Hulu video platform, after having reached an agreement with Comcast.
According to rumors, this measure would cause the streaming service to increase its value to 27,000 million dollars over a period of five years.
For many, the agreement is a strong bet of Disney for the growth of Hulu, the platform known for carrying the hit series of “The Handmaid’s Tale.“
The terms guarantee Comcast a profit of $ 5.8 billion in early 2024, when the cable giant can sell its stake to Disney.
Hulu will become a key factor in Disney’s growing struggle with Netflix and the agreement gives the service access to the division’s programming.
