Denver will use blockchain application for municipal elections

The National Cybersecurity Center of the city and the company Voatz blockchain solutions work in a mobile application to encourage and facilitate participation in the electoral process that ends in May

Through a press release, the blockchain solutions company Voatz announced that it works in conjunction with the National Cybersecurity Center of the city to launch a mobile app to accelerate voting and encourage participation in municipal elections this year.

According to Bradley Tusk, founder of Tusk Philanthropies, the innovative application, which name has not been revealed, will allow electors abroad exercise their right quickly, safely and in a reliable way compared to the traditional process that is done through postal or electronic mail.

In this way the citizen will be able to vote from the comfort of their smartphone, which they carries in their pocket. Another group that will be included in this mobile app process are active Army members.

Voatz blockchain solution company has highlighted the benefits of the mobile application in electoral processes, since it has already been used successfully in other states and countries. Indeed, what they want is to encourage the participation of the inhabitants of Denver in the municipal elections.

Selected electors must verify that they are eligible to download the application. Then, through biometric verification, they will be authorized to use the app through which they can download their smartphone the ballot to cast their vote and send it back.
