Denmark restaurants accepts payment with bitcoins

This is possible thanks to the Hungry.dk platform, which provides its services to more than 1,500 food establishments

A total of 1,500 restaurants in Denmark are offering their services in cryptocurrencies, thanks to the use of the portal Hungry.dk.

This is not a novelty given that the service was being offered since 2014. However. in 2017 they decided to pause for the long processing time of the transactions.

Hungry.dk spokesman said in an interview: “We have accepted bitcoins as a payment method for some time. However, we decided to temporarily remove the function last year because the average transaction time took too long and the experience was not the best. Noe the problems are solved and we add the option again … Hungry.dk takes care of the payment, so you can always use Bitcoins in all the restaurants that are currently in Hungry.dk.”

Nowadays more than 13 thousand establishments around the world accept payments in bitcoins as was determined by an investigation made by the analyst Larry Cermak.

There are several food portals that use this type of service, such as Shuttle Delivery, who recently announced the inclusion of bitcoin and bitcoin cash as a method of payment for South Korea.
