Dash launches SMS wallet pilot in Venezuela
The pilot project for the South American country was called Dash Text and is based on an electronic portfolio based exclusively on text messages
Dash has just launched in Venezuela the pilot project of its electronic wallet based on text messages. Dash Text will work as a cold digital wallet, by command of simple text messages without being connected to the Internet.
In the Venezuelan market, less than 50% of the population has smartphones, but the rest has a digital device. To reach this segment of the public, Dash has launched the pilot project that hopes to provide fast and efficient solutions.
Mark Mason, the International Dash Coordinator, is behind the work for the launch of this project, which maintains the premise of the user’s operational ease.
They have enabled the auto-creation feature of the wallet in the customer’s account. The user can use the send or receive buttons of his phone to perform transactions. A feature that can be handled by people of any age.
At the moment, Dash Text is available only in Venezuela, but they hope to expand it to other territories soon. The creators work in an award mechanism for users that include third parties in the platform.
