Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki will have her own cryptocurrency

The athlete has partnered with the Singapore Global Crypto Offer Exchange (GCOX) and will be the first to have her own cryptocurrency in 2019

The Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki achieved a strategic alliance with the company Global Crypto Offer Exchange (GCOX), from Singapore, to launch in 2019 her own cryptocurrency.

Although no details of the electronic currency are known, such as the name or exact launch date, through an interview with Reuters, the athlete indicated that it could be ready for the first quarter of next year.

During the interview it was known that the personalized token will allow the athlete to get closer to her fans, selling exclusive products related to the tennis player, as well as facilities to purchase tickets for the events where Wozniacki is present.

The Danish is not the first to venture into the crypto ecosystem. Recognized football and boxing figures have already taken important steps and partnerships with startups or blockchain platforms.

Wozniacki has been pleased by the possibility of having her own cryptocurrency in the coming months.
