D-Link launched connectivity amplifiers

The combination PLC (Power Line Communication) with signal amplifiers, will convert the electrical installation into a digital data cabling

One of the problems that the creation of networks of WiFi amplifiers has to cover a whole place is that, generally, while mobile phones have a signal, they don’t look for another better source.

It’s for this reason that the Taiwanese company D-Link marked as its objective to show “other possibilities”, the most interesting being the combination PLC (Power Line Communication) with signal amplifiers, which converts the electrical installation into a digital data wiring.

A PLC adapter is connected to the router that supplies the operator and the electrical network and the other is installed in the place where you want to have wireless coverage.

This system has some disadvantages when it comes to very old installations or in cases where there are several phases, according to the company in a presentation made in Madrid. PLCs only work within the same phase. In addition, they may also suffer loss of capacity when using external terminals or connect to the network.
