The Caribbean island has developed a crypto ecosystem with account, wallet and peer-to-peer exchange platform

Italian-Cuban entrepreneur Mario Mazzola has designed a decentralized bitcoin exchange platform for the Republic of Cuba Called Qbita Exchange, specially designed to meet the needs of Cubans.

The Qbita platform launched last November is designed to work anywhere in the world. It offers a bitcoin wallet to store funds and a peer-to-peer exchange platform, as well as a fully decentralized service.

To use of the exchange users can download the web application that is also compatible for Android system and it is not very heavy since the users just require 1MB of hard drive space and according to the creator it is very useful and easy to use.

Mazzola reported that the application is suitable for sending remittances: “Qbita is perfect for sending remittances, since transaction fees are much cheaper than traditional services like Western Union.”

Furthermore, Mazzola highlighted his confidence in the exchange and added: “I have always been convinced that here in Cuba, bitcoin is a real necessity.”
