Cryptocurrencies could be reaching its end

For many experts the winter of digital currencies has arrived

This week the FinTech Forum in Paris was held, one of the largest annual meetings of its kind held in Europe and the great news given at the event was that the excitement over cryptocurrencies has come to an end, as various experts and connoisseurs about  the ecosystem assured.

It is not a secret to anyone that bitcoin and the digital coin industry in general are currently experiencing the less thought depths, what many call “The Crypto Winter“, a fact that was demonstrated at the conference.

The Forum Fintech of Paris proclaims itself as “the most exclusive European annual event on digital finance and Fintech”. Last year the event was packed with experts in digital currencies and blockchain consultants. However, this year was completely different from the previous one.

This year the main theme of the conference focused on traditional banking, with topics such as loans without branches and banking as a service. As for cryptocurrencies, skepticism is increasing. Many financial technology professionals conclude that the cryptographic ecosystem may not be ready for widespread use.

On the other hand, the defenders of cryptoactives maintain that their sole purpose is to give people the opportunity to be their own bank, make third parties irrelevant and unnecessary traditional banks.
