Tools to avoid crypto scam in Twitter

Misleading offers and scams that violate the rights of Twitter users have led to the creation of detection mechanisms

Two tools that allow the identification of Twitter fraud related to cryptocurrencies were launched this month. It’s about MetaCert Protocol Cryptonite and Scam Clerk Application. The crimes include deceptive offers or identity theft to request payments or collaborations in digital currency.

The MetaCert Protocol Cryptonite tool allows you to identify account imitators in the social network Twitter, in addition to checking the origin of the tweets to confirm that they are not sent from a false and dangerous account.

On the other hand, Scam Clerk Application performs an antivirus scan of the account that produces a box with the blocked imitators, in addition to the scam accounts that the network has identified. Another function of the tool is the scanning of the list of followers of the account, with complementary data.

Paul Wash, CEO of MetaCert’s said in his social network that Cryptonite is an extension of the Chrome, Firefox and Opera search engines. They have been updated for use in the crypto universe in order to identify fraud. They are available in beta version for Twitter.

It is important to note that Cryptonite generates a green shield that warns the user that it is in an original account and if the shield turns white it is a sign that the account is unknown or that it is a fraudulent copy. It also allows to review other social networks, websites and applications for virtual wallets.
