Colombian institutions created FEDE-MINERS

It was recently launched in Bogotá the federation for cryptoactives, digital mining, blockchain and related activities

The Colombian and International Federation of Associations and Companies with Activity in Cryptoactive, Digital Mining, Blockchain and Related Industries, better known as FEDE-MINERS, was inaugurated in Bogota. It brings together a group of organizations to initiate dialogues with the government in the search for greater regulation and clarity regarding the aforementioned issues in the country.

During the event, also took place the inauguration of the board of directors, formed by the general secretary, the federal congress and other representatives of the federation, who undertook to build the bases of the Colombian cryptoeconomy together with the member companies.

President Iván Duque assured that the country will provide incentives to promote the development of new technological industries, including blockchain and cryptocurrencies. At the same time, FEDE-MINERS assumes the task of being an intermediary between its representatives and the State entities to design fair policies for the sector.

Marcos Parra, general secretary of FEDE-MINERS, said that they are articulating with national and international public and private organizations in search of proposals that allow the best way to adopt and evaluate the applications of companies and organizations wishing to join the federation.

Likewise, he affirmed that particular initiatives are being evaluated, such as Senator Abraham Jiménez’s bill, to take an official position that defends the interests of the members of the federation and citizens who have found in the possession and use of cryptoactives a way to generate new business and social opportunities.
