Colombian exports rose to more than $ 3.4 billion in January
In the reference month, exports showed an increase of 11.7% in relation to the year 2019
According to a balance sheet made by the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE), Colombia has presented an increase in exports of $ 3,423.7 million during the month of January this year, 11.7% more compared to 2019.
According to the agency, the increase is essentially applied by the 27.2% growth in external sales of the group of fuels and products of the extractive industries.
In reference to the month of January, exports of fuels and products of the extractive industries participated with 60.9% of the total value of exports, while the manufacturing sectors did so with 16.1%, of agricultural, also the food and drinks accounted for 19.7%, and other sectors with 3.2%.
However, with respect to crude oil, DANE explained that in January 2020 there was an export of 18.3 million barrels of crude oil, which represents a 1.5% drop compared to January 2019.
According to these figures, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, Laura Valdivieso, pointed out on social networks that “non-mining exports of goods and services reached 25,297 million dollars in 2019, the highest amount in history.”
