Coinbase obtained approval to operate in Argentina

The cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase arrived in Latin America after obtaining the registration of Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) from the National Securities Commission (CNV) of Argentina

The expansion of the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase does not stop. With the obtaining in Argentina through the registration of Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP), through the National Securities Commission (CNV), the platform landed in Latin America.

Matías Alberti will be in charge of the exchange’s activity in the Argentine market. He has extensive experience in the area obtained through his performance in the fintech companies Buenbit and Clara.

Through a statement, the company said: “The landing of Coinbase in Latin America is an important step in its mission to increase economic freedom throughout the world. By addressing the unique needs of the Argentine market and prioritizing security, education and compliance, Coinbase takes a firm step towards its vision of economic freedom for all.”

Currently, the crypto exchange has $300 billion in assets in custody, “$185 billion in quarterly trading volume and a global team of more than 3,600 collaborators.”
