The Coca-Cola Company, the world’s largest manufacturer of soft drinks, accounted for a net attributable profit of $ 2,593 million in the third quarter of 2019, equivalent to an increase of 38% compared to the same period last year, as the company reported on Friday.
“Our performance gives us confidence that our strategies are settling with our consumers, customers and system,” said the president and CEO of the firm, James Quincey.
The turnover of the multinational between July and September stood at 9,507 million dollars, which corresponds to an increase of 8%. By geographical areas and business segments, revenues from North America reached 3,138 million dollars, while investments in the bottling area grew by 8%, to get 1,684 million dollars.
The turnover of Europe, the Middle East and Africa remained stable at 1,826 million dollars, while in Asia-Pacific it reached 1,462 million dollars, 3% more. Latin America’s revenues were 1,045 million dollars, a 4% more.
With respect to the expenses, the cost of the sold products rose 13%, up to 3,767 million dollars and general and administrative sales expenses were 3,116 million dollars, a 17% more.
Thus, during the first nine months of 2019 Coca-Cola accounted for a net attributable profit of $ 6,878 million, up to 24%, after a 6% increase in revenue, to reach $ 28,198 million.
