Clipit rewards users for recommending products

The Spanish application arises from the so-called word-of-mouth and aims to revolutionize purchases thanks to the reviews of real users through videos

Clipit is a creation of Demium Startups, which seeks to combine the best talent with the most innovative ideas to develop technology companies from scratch. The application was founded by Luis Miguel Couto and Ricardo Campos.

Obviously, the trend to use video and the need to know the real opinions of users when purchasing a product are the factors that served as the basis for the app.

The Clipit users can be recommender when recording videos of their favorite products or also buyer by browsing through the application looking for reviews of specific products and also by acquiring them directly.

It is worth emphasizing that for each recommended product that is purchased the user who recommended it will receive a commission.

Undoubtedly, the videos are the main aspect of the app as they encourage the user to explain what a product is, how it works and why it is worth buying.

The application was launched at the end of 2018 for iOS and Android with virtually no investment promotion. Currently it has more than 2,000 downloads, 1,000 active monthly users and more than 1,500 videos uploaded.
